Notice for patients visiting under insurance treatment about the collection of extra-hour designated medical fees

Oak Clinic, Sumiyoshi and Oak Clinic, Umeda will be changing the reporting times for insurance medical treatments starting from August 1 (Tuesday), while Oak Clinic, Ginza will be making the same change starting from September 1 (Friday).

The extra-hour designated medical fees* are calculated as 30% of the amount derived from the insurance points (amounts less than 10 yen are rounded down).
For instance, for patients whose medical expenses bear a self-pay ratio of 30%, the amount paid at the counter, plus consumption tax, would be the same as the extra-hour designated medical fees.

• *Designated Care Fees are costs that have been permitted for concurrent use with insurance treatments under certain rules based on the Mixed Medical Care Expense System.
  In our clinic, reservation fees and after-hours consultation fees have been reported to the Health Bureau as Designated Care Fees and have been accepted.
• *After-Hours Designated Care Fees are calculated as 30% (rounded down to the nearest 10 yen) of the amount calculated from insurance points. Therefore, patients whose copayment rate is not 30%, patients who exceed the maximum out-of-pocket cost under the high-cost medical care system, or patients who incur costs other than advanced medical insurance treatments may have different after-hours designated care fees than the amount shown.
  Also, After-Hours Designated Care Fees are not subject to the High-Cost Medical Care System.
