Getting Pregnant with Frozen Oocytes:
Frozen Embryo Transfer Method

All frozen oocytes are thawed and micro-fertilized, the embryos are frozen, and thawed embryos are transplanted in the next cycle.

Merits

  • Since microinsemination is performed at one time, the total cost of microinsemination will be lower.
  • Only one semen collection is needed.

Demerits

  • •With two freezing cycles, the pregnancy rate is slightly decreased.
  • Increased cost of freezing and thawing due to extra freezing cycle.
