What is Doxy-PEP?<\/h2>\r\n

\r\nDoxy-PEP (Doxycycline Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a preventive method that involves taking doxycycline after sexual activity to reduce the risk of contracting bacterial sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea. \u203bPlease note that it does not prevent HIV infection. \r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

Expected preventive benefits<\/h2>\r\n

\r\nDoxy-PEP may reduce the risk of chlamydia infection by approximately 70\u201375%. It is also expected to provide a certain level of protection against syphilis and gonorrhea.
\r\nWhile Doxy-PEP is highly effective in helping prevent sexually transmitted infections, it does not completely protect against all infections.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

Dosage Instructions and Guidelines<\/h3>\r\n

\r\nTiming:<\/b> Take within 72 hours after sexual activity (as soon as possible).
\r\nDosage:<\/b> Take 200 mg of doxycycline per dose. Do not take another dose within 24 hours. \r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n
